Georgia-Pacific, LLC is now hiring a Production Supervisor (Learning & Development) for our Jonestown Mailer's facility.The ideal candidate will be a self-driven individual with a passion for excellence in Safety, Continuous Improvement, Manufacturing, and Customer Focus. Our Team

The team at Jonestown, PA specializes in the Mailers operations. This role is part of a Supervision team reporting into the Plant Superintendent. The role directly supervises two L&D Coordinators and provides guidance and mentorship to the Operations team. The Production Supervisor also offers coverage for other supervisors responsible for the 24/7 operation of the site. The ideal candidate should be a consistent and motivating individual who can promote operational excellence through effective training and mentoring.

What You Will Do

  • Serve as the go-to (Stand-In) supervisor to cover for other supervisors who are on vacation, sick leave or otherwise unavailable
  • Be available to step in at short notice to cover any supervisory gaps to maintain continuity in operations
  • Collaborate with training coordinators to develop and maintain training programs
  • Conduct regular assessments and updates to the training program to meet evolving team and company needs
  • Drive safety excellence through promoting employee involvement, ownership, and accountability to proactively identify hazards and implement appropriate mitigating strategies; investigate incidents and participate in resolution of causes
  • Serve as a Mentor through coaching, training, and developing in a positive work environment, hourly personnel in safety, quality, conflict resolution and production
  • Provide constructive and constant feedback to other supervisors and management about performance issues or improvement opportunities

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience coaching or mentoring employees within amanufacturing, production, industrial OR military environment
  • Must be flexible; willing and able to work rotating 12-hour shifts as needed (working nights, weekends & holidays)
  • Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience managing print & converting or packaging production operations
  • Experience as a direct supervisor
  • Experience with continuous improvement or lean manufacturing
  • Experience with records system
