Position Description

Primary Duties:

Work independently, with guidance in complex situations, to support the execution of Entrepreneurial Agent (EA) or Independent Agent (IA) sales distribution programs. Serve as a subject matter expert and internal consultant by providing advanced insight and trusted counsel in the areas of sales agent program channel distribution, day-to-day operations, project initiatives and operational process improvements. Review business plans, product reports and forecasting models to understand individual action items necessary to meeting agency growth, profitability and production goals. Work with internal partners and vendors to develop and support agent program initiatives in order to meet or exceed company goals and objectives. Serve as a liaison and maintain positive relationships with internal and external partners.

Lead or participate in small to large-scale, organization-wide distribution projects. Plan and manage project initiatives to successful completion of targeted goals. Responsible for or assist management with the following: development of project execution strategy, creating and monitoring project plans and schedules, identifying resources for project execution, leading project teams, organizing and participating in project meetings. Conduct or participate in gap analysis, needs assessments and the development of operational process improvement initiatives. Lead or participate in cross-functional teams tasked with performing cost/benefit analysis, identifying budget implications, and recommending strategies for accomplishing operational goals. Forecast and communicate potential project outcomes to Distribution and Field Sales leadership. Participate in end-user testing and validation. Document and maintain process flows and procedures to ensure overall operational efficiency. Measure and track the achievement of project objectives and timelines.

Ensure a "turnkey" operation that manages and coordinates all requirements including: providing oversight to contract process, selecting target dates, opening of offices, coordinating all necessary components for opening, scheduling agent training and onboarding processes, providing product support, assisting with marketing and advertising, educating agent on the availability of resources, etc. Work seamlessly with all the respective departments to ensure office is open and functional.

Provide assistance in resolution of issues escalated within the department or from field agents or management. Interpret issues and foresee any problems. Take a broad perspective to identify, analyze and recommend innovative approaches to resolve highly complex problems. Act as a resource to less experienced staff.

Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Finance, Marketing, or a related field or college coursework and equivalent work experience

Experience:

  • Project planning and management

  • Coordinating and controlling workflows

  • Gathering, researching and analyzing data

  • Preparing reports, business plans and proposals for all levels of management

  • Evaluating a complex system and/or business processes and understanding the interdependencies between components

  • Evaluating effectiveness and efficiency of systems and business strategies

  • Conducting cost/benefit analysis

  • Analyzing performance problems

  • Designing, implementing and evaluating performance interventions

  • Completing and monitoring financial projections for assigned projects

  • Responsible for development and upkeep of all documentation of policies and procedures

  • Conducting meetings with all levels of management

  • Representing department on task forces and meetings

Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge of:

  • Sales distribution channels

  • Insurance products and services

  • Problem identification and resolution techniques

  • Techniques used to analyze business practices and procedures

  • Project planning and management techniques

  • Process improvement strategies and best practices

  • Knowledge of Corporate branding standards

  • IT knowledge of small business operations (phones, ACG network, individual ISP, etc.)

Ability to:

  • Analyze sales markets/territories and provide data for management review

  • Communicate complex information (agency requirements, goals, regulatory compliance) to a variety of audiences

  • Oversee Website utilized for the assigned agent sales program

  • Assists Management with strategic and operation planning

  • Willingness and ability to travel

Preferred Qualifications

Education:

  • Possess and maintain the applicable State P&C license for selling Auto Club Group products and services

  • Insurance industry designations (e.g. IIA, CLU, CIC, CPCU)

Experience:

  • Providing oversight to the opening of insurance offices or entrepreneurial single business locations

  • Field, Administrative Office or Insurance environment

  • Auto Club Group Field, Administrative or Insurance environment

Knowledge of:

  • Insurance distribution channels

  • Salesforce, GCP and Varicent

Work Environment

This is a hybrid work arrangement (time spent in office and remote). Depending on the employee's role and leadership's assessment, some employees will come in to an ACG facility on a weekly basis, a monthly basis, or on an "as needed" basis for key meetings and collaborative activities. Most employees will be required to come into the office, at a minimum, for important departmental meetings or teambuilding events.
