The Solution Architect Support Specialist supports Inside and Field Solution Architects and CDW sellers across the country. This role will coordinate and manage the process to respond to end-customer's requests for special prices and proposals. This role is responsible for validating requests, creating quotes, developing timetables, communicating and tracking as required. The Solution Architect Support Specialist will engage with and cultivate relationships with Sellers, Solution Architects and a variety of partner functions. We look for a proactive team player, who pays attention to details, and has the ability to work under pressure. What you will do
- Strategize with Solution Architects to build partner and customer relationships to generate business opportunities.
- Analyze manufacture quote tools to create and distribute product configurations and customer quotes according to customer requirements.
- Manage utilization of sales programs. Own relationship with manufacturer or distributor to ensure aggressiveness and profitability on opportunities.
- Direct interaction with customers, manufactures and distributors to provide updates on configurations, pricing requests, or order status.
- Complete partner product accreditation when applicable; utilize internal and external training opportunities to develop product knowledge and sales skills.
- Develop trusted partnership with assigned Solution Architects to provide operational delivery support.
- Partnering with Solution Architects to ensure all registration programs and customer value validations are upheld.
- Develop collaborative teaming relationships with internal CDW departments to resolve order issues (e.g. drop ship emergencies, backorder management, bid escalation, etc.).
What we expect of you
- Associates' Degree or 3 years sales process experience required
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written using a variety of styles and techniques appropriate to the audience
- Must be able to communicate effectively and in a constructive manner with management, peers and coworkers
- Motivated and self-starting with an outgoing personality
- Excellent analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to understand data finding to draw conclusions and develop actionable recommendations
- Proven ability to proactively collaborate and build relationships, take initiative, and creatively problem solve
- Ability to develop trusted relationships (internal and external) at all levels in an organization
- Applicant should demonstrate solid attention to detail with a penchant for accuracy
- Understanding/Appreciation of maintaining confidentiality
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% or as needed to other CDW locations or client sites
- Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information. Ability to organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology. Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize. Ability to apply common sense in performing job. Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines. Ability to travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Expert knowledge of AS400 and SPS order processing
- Deep knowledge of backbone departments, responsibilities, and processes
- Callidus software experience preferred
- Pay range: $50,000 - $58,000, depending on experience and skill set
- Annual bonus target of $30,000 subject to terms and conditions of plan
