MEASURES OF SUCCESS
- Creates a culture of safety, productivity, and process efficiency where employees are developed and know how their work is evaluated and fits into the big picture.
- Plans, coordinates and directs all distribution-related activities.
- Directs and monitors compliance of company policy and procedures.
- Participates with senior management in developing strategies to meet short- and long-term company objectives.
- Establishes procedures and motivates employees to ensure the highest standard of quality and customer satisfaction.
- Implements and maintains cost effective measures to ensure warehousing efficiencies.
- Develops and maintains effective inventory control measures.
- Manages supply vendor contractcontactsand relationships.
- Supervision of the work activities of others. In addition to employee issues -- including selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development of subordinates.
- Day-to-day management of the Distribution Center.
- Work directly with vendors, buyers, planners, replenishment, transportation, distribution, and compliance areas.
- Actively contribute to the Distribution Center Leadership team by taking ownership of key projects or activities and mobilizing cross-functional team members to deliver the goals.
- Works with HR to ensure all legal requirements are met relating to H.R. policies and procedures.
- Ensure all options are considered and most cost-effective solution is taken to solve everyday business operational issues.
- Work with colleagues to deliver the Distribution Center team KPI's. Understand the KPI's relating to Operations and have action plans in place to deliver them.
- Lead and implement on key projects relating to the Operations within the Distribution Center.
- Provide cost effective ideas / plans to help improve the Operations and deliver the wider Distribution Center objectives.
- Hire, train, coach, develop & lead the associates in the Operations to deliver the Supply Chain Operational Excellence plan.

IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES
- BS degree or equivalent distribution and transportation management experience. BS in Business, Logistics Management, or Production & Operations Management preferred
- 7+ years distribution operations management experience overseeing order fulfillment, delivery, safety, inventory control in a sales driven organization with 5+ years P/L responsibility in a $20M+ business.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Must have clear, concise, written and oral communication skills. Bi-lingual Spanish preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Strong work ethic with a "can do" attitude; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- A hands-on, high-energy individual with excellent presentation skills.
- Strong analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills and possess an extreme attention to detail.
- Detailed knowledge of distribution operations including receiving, stocking, order filling, replenishment, shipping and inventory control.
- Comprehensive understanding of OSHA/DOT regulations/compliance.
- Ability to work closely with customers, service providers, facility management, and corporate supply chain members to develop innovative performance improvement and cost reduction solutions to ongoing operating concerns.
- Experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and RF experience.
- Must have excellent computer skills in MS Office; Advanced Excel skills required.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safemanner.
POSITION INFORMATION
- This position pays $95,000-$110,000, depending on experience.
