Overview:

Along with performing the duties of the paramedic as listed the Leader will coordinate the schedule to ensure all shifts are covered. The Leader will edit all Kronos and perform all AOS functions for the paramedic team. The Paramedic functions under the direction of the Registered Nurse and Chief of Staff. The Paramedic provides care within a defined scope of practice that includes patient care and observation, specified treatments and procedures: provision of the environmental and personal safety; and effective communication. The Paramedic will also be responsible to collect pertinent data within their certification scope of responsibility and report these clinical, psychosocial, etc., finds to the RN and physician.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Paramedic (EMT-P) license for the state of practice, Valid driver's license.
  • Experience: Applicants must have prior leadership experience.
  • Certifications/Registration: ACLS at hire.
  • Other: Unimpaired mobility: Must be able to respond quickly.
  • Equipment Used: Mobile and portable communications equipment, Monitor/Defibrillator/Pacer, approved stretcher, stair chair, backboard, scoop type device, variety of bags and kits, computer, FAX, printer and other office related equipment.Preferred
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED. Current demonstrated competence and an adequate level of current experience, documenting the ability to provide services at an acceptable level of quality and efficiency.
  • Physical Requirements: Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
