Description
Interagency Readiness Solutions, LLC is seeking a Defense Movement Coordinator Supporter to support the Indiana National Guard. The Defense Movement Coordinator Support will provide technical assistance to the DMC with planning and execution of unit movements.
- Support the DMC with the planning and execution of unit movements, and management of military convoys for all services moving within or passing through the state.
- Provide technical assistance to the DMC with coordination of peacetime and mobilization movements of units using military transportation assets IAW ARNG/FORSCOM 55-1, AR 525-93, Defense Travel Regulation (DTR) Part III Appx F.
- Assist with the preparation, maintenance, and execution of training and contingency movement plans for mobilization, homeland security and deployment of ARNG units located within the state IAW ARNG/FORSCOM 55-1, AR 525-93, DTR Part III Appx F.
- Ensure that all requirements necessary to execute the movement plans have been identified and coordinated IAW ARNG/FORSCOM 55-1, AR 525-93, DTR Part III Appx F.
- Review and validate Unit Movement Plans (UMP) and Unit Movement Data (UMD) prior to submission to Forces Command (FORSCOM).
- Provide training and assistance to units and activities in the preparation and data entry of associated current federal operating systems and may be required to serve as a Functional Manager for assigned systems IAW ARNG / FORSCOM 55-1.
- Conduct assistance visits to subordinate units as requested or required IAW INARNG State Defense Movement SOP.
- Coordinate with the various State Departments of Transportation (DOT) to determine highway availability, restrictions, and permit requirements
- Process requests for use of the Strategic and State Highway Network within the state. Obtains and issues approved permits IAW DTR Part III Appx F, INDOT Government and Special Entities Pamphlet, US DOT Guidelines and Regulations.
- Coordinate movements directly with local, state, and federal agencies. Receives, reviews and processes requests for convoy clearance using the Mobilization Movement Control System (MOBCON) and issues Convoy Movement Orders (CMO) which provides assigned routes and scheduled movement times to convoy commanders IAW DTR Part III Appx F, INDOT Government and Special Entities Pamphlet, US DOT Guidelines and Regulations.
- Provide estimates of post mobilization transportation capabilities and requirements and disseminates information to appropriate military commands. Plans, coordinates, and participates in the highway movement portion of exercises involving military, civil defense, state or local echelons of government, in practice alerts, command post exercises, field training exercises and emergency operations simulations.
- Observe the testing of unit load plans. Conduct the transportation portions of mobilization exercises IAW NGIN Command Deployment Discipline Program (CDDP).
- Make recommendations for correction of noted deficiencies to the DMC and recommend changes IAW NGIN Command Deployment Discipline Program (CDDP).
- Review records on the location and type of military, state, and federal transportation assets within the state. Advises the DMC on operational employment of transportation assets during emergencies, alerts, and mobilization)
- Recommend changes in distribution of equipment to support contingency operations IAW DTR Part II Appx F, NGIN All Hazards Plan.
- Assist with the organization, supervision, and operation of the State Movement Control Center (SMCC).
- Monitor movements of military units, assists the government in resolving conflicts, receives and forwards movement reports. Coordinates changes to priorities and revises pre-planned movement schedules IAW ARNG / FORSCOM 55-1.
- Maintain, inspect, and verify serviceability of Army containers. Inspects container and submits maintenance report to the Container Control Officer (CCO) for entry into the Army Container Asset Management System (ACAMS).
- Coordinate with the CCO at the USPFO to ensure property book accountability and movement of containers IAW AR 525-93.
- Review International Organization (ISO) and storage container requests prior to submission to Army Intermodal & Distribution Platform Management Office (AIDPMO) IAW AR 525-93.
- Present instruction and assists in training Intermediate Command Unit Movement Officers (IC-UMO's) and Unit Movement Officers IAW INARNG Defense Movement SOP.
Qualifications
