Job Summary and Responsibilities

Communications Manager will help drive projects and programs to generate employee awareness and engagement around key internal communications priorities. The candidate will be responsible for supporting initiatives that help employees stay connected with each other, with executive leadership and with the business. They will primarily support communications for The People Team, which includes human resources, security and general affairs; however support may expand to other stakeholders, including the corporate communications team. The ideal candidate has HR or internal communications experience, is a detail-oriented program manager and self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced work environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Primarily support communications development, planning and distribution for HR, security and general affairs initiatives, events, and programs.
  • Develop creative strategies to communicate with employees through a variety of channels.
  • Draft, design and post digital communications including posters, banners and signage across our intranet, office poster and digital signage network.
  • Support communications for employee engagement and corporate citizenship efforts, including sustainability, corporate giving, culture and volunteer events.
  • Research, draft and distribute a variety of internal communications, such as emails, newsletters and other collateral.
  • Manage internal communications timeline and calendar.
  • Use weekly HR reporting to create updated distribution lists for targeted audience communications
  • Help ensure consistency, quality and creativity across all internal communications.
  • Provide support to the U.S. Newsroom team where needed to post stories, draft social content and coordinate multi-channel campaigns/projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience, preferably in HR Communications or Internal Communications
  • Must maintain a high level of professionalism required as a representative of the company.
  • Ability to work independently and an entrepreneurial spirit; strong decision making, problem solving project management skills.
  • Must have excellent time management, organizational and project management skills.
  • Must display good judgment and use discretion when presented with sensitive or confidential issues.
  • Must thrive working in a fast-paced environment that focuses on high-quality results and flawless execution.
  • Must have sharp eye for quality control and consistency in written materials.
  • Must be team player committed to constant improvement and creative approaches to working in new situations.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) required
  • Design experience (Adobe Photoshop or Canva) preferred
