General Labor

General Laborer position to complete manual labor tasks and support operations in various work zones. Perform labor tasks such as sweeping, shoveling, and equipment upkeep. This position requires the QT to be on their feet and moving 8-10 hours a day.

RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

Lifting, moving, shoveling and sweeping material from the production floor, platforms, and stairs. Maintaining the cleanliness of the picking platform. Picking Materials from the line that cause safety or quality hazards.

ZONE 1: Plastic the size of a water bottle and larger. Metal the size of a soup can and larger. Stringy Material such as rope, zip ties, necklace beads. Paper in bulk like books and notebooks. Cardboard boxes.

ZONE 2: Picking Materials from the screens that cause safety or quality hazards. Fines Screens: Pick material that has hooks, wedges, and/ or sharp ends. Oversize Screen: Material that has hooks, wedges, sharp ends, cloth, and large pieces of debris that may lodge in the holes. Trash Screen: Pick material that has hooks, wedges, sharp ends, cloth, and large pieces of debris that may lodge in the holes

ZONE 3: Picking Materials from the screens that cause safety or quality hazards. Fines Screens: Pick material that has hooks, wedges, and/ or sharp ends. Oversize Screen: Material that has hooks, wedges, sharp ends, cloth, and large pieces of debris that may lodge in the holes. Trash Screen: Pick material that has hooks, wedges, sharp ends, cloth, and large pieces of debris that may lodge in the holes Maintaining a clean and safe area as assigned. Under the conveyor back to the diverter. Under the green supports for the air locks. Under the hopper pulley and main conveyor pulley.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Required to stand and be on feet 8 to 10 hours a day. Required to lift and move around up to 50 pounds of material. Required to make use of time and task management. Required to have good attendance, attitude, and work ethic.
