Paraprofessional/Physical Welfare 7/29/2025 NORTH/WEST PHYSICAL WELFARE 25-26 School Year 10/24/2025 Paraprofessional, Curriculum Classroom REPORTS TO Director of the Subject Area PURPOSE The job of Paraeducator Tutor Classroom Core is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the instructional program with specific responsibility for working with individual and/or small groups of students in assigned regular classroom; assisting with implementing plans for instruction; monitoring and reporting student behavior and performance; and providing information to appropriate school personnel. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: IL Paraprofessional Certificate College degree, Teaching certificate preferred Lifeguard License, preferredEssential Functions
REQUIRED SKILLS:
RESPONSIBILITY Responsibilities include: working under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods; leading, guiding, and/or coordinating others; utilization of some resources from other work units may be required to perform the job's functions. There is a continual opportunity to have some impact on the organization's services. WORKING ENVIRONMENT The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 50% sitting, 25% walking, and 25% standing. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
