As a Manager, AP1000 Structural Category you will manage a category team to create a strategy which develops short- and long-term opportunities to improve total cost of ownership while meeting customer requirements on the AP1000, AP300 & eVinci projects. You will lead a category management team focused on structures including Modules, Shield Building and Containment Vessel. You will report to the take direction from Senior Manager: Category Management for AP1000, eVinci, & AP300 while working with peers in Category and Project Management. You will be a remote employee but may travel 10-20% of the time domestically.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will recruit, build, train and manage team to create an overall AP1000, AP300 and eVinci category strategy to meet organizational goals by improving Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) while securing supply continuity through identifying and mitigating current and potential risks and opportunities in the category guide.
- Ensure the execution category strategy through preferred supplier list (PSL), "right-sizing" non-preferred suppliers, and rewarding preferred partners with business awards tied to Long-term Agreements (LTA) with year over year improvements in cost, delivery, quality, service, and profitability.
- Lead important business reviews (SRM) with strategic suppliers to deliver category strategy and accomplishment of category goals.
- You will review presentations for supplier relationship management meetings, category strategies, risk mitigation proposals, 4-Blockers, and supplier/category gap analysis.
- Create a plan to deliver annual results against metrics of payment terms, on-time delivery, productivity, inflation, and other metrics as determined by Leadership.
- Maintain category knowledge by researching and tracking industry trends, best practices, applicable indices, and competitive offerings to identify opportunities for innovation, competitive advantage, and increased overall productivity.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree (preferably MBA or MS in any field of engineering)
- Minimum 7 years of procurement experience (preferably within industries with complex engineering, procurement, and construction projects, with a focus on procurement)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in negotiations including RFI, RFP, RFQ and contract development.
- Minimum 1 year of supervisor experience in procurement (Preferably 3 years of category management management)
- Benchmark, Market Analysis, Competitive Intelligence, and Procurement Projects Management skills
- Experience with vendor management including purchase order issuance, execution, and administration.
