Job summary

A successful Associate Consulting Engineer (ACE) will immerse in a close-knit group of technology leaders, to collaborate with and master complex solutions to business requirements. What you will do

  • Driving architecture and delivering customer solutions on the Managed Services Cloud Platform focusing as a Technical Account Manager.
  • Learn to manage and resolve technical issues for assigned accounts, providing clients product training and technical advice.
  • Learn to enhance collaboration by partnering with customers' technical and business staff, following best practices in troubleshooting, consulting, and change management for future complex engagements.
  • Take your collaboration to the next level by partnering with technical and business staff of customers following troubleshooting, consulting, and change management best practices leading towards more complex future engagements.
  • Planning - participate in kick off meetings. Communicate customer information and requirements with the project team. Review Statement of Work (SOW), validating against the service catalog.
  • Design - read design documents and contribute to the development of customer solutions. Participate in joint technology design sessions, providing technical analysis on implementation sequencing.
  • Implementation - perform assigned engagement activities as directed. Troubleshoot, break-fix tickets, complete service requests, and complete device software updates. This may include configuration implementation, patching, or other activities.
  • Operations - Participate in remediation for post incident reviews. Recognize opportunity for resolution and own what is needed to drive resolution, identify and recommend support process improvements. Contribute to Collaboration team forums and provide feedback/questions to stimulate discussion, intellectual capital and continuous process improvement.
  • Consulting - work with customers to understand their business needs and drivers.

What we expect of you

  • Authorized to work for CDW in the United States; immigration sponsorship (H-1B, TN, etc.) is not currently available for this position.
  • One of the following educational backgrounds:
  • BA/BS including concentration in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related discipline.
  • Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related technology focused concentration
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
  • Professional experience with cloud managed services platform (preferably ServiceNow) and/or in service management, service delivery, or related fields a plus
  • One or more applicable technology related certifications in Microsoft Azure, AWS, and/or GCP is a plus
  • Ability to demonstrate technical consulting experiencewith a focus on client-facing solutions involving enterprise software

  • Project Management - Organizational skills to manage multiple accounts, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely delivery of services are vital.
  • Business Acumen - Understanding the client's business objectives and how the company's offerings can drive value is important for strategic alignment.
  • Adaptability and Continuous Learning - Staying updated on emerging technologies and industry standards ensures relevance and effectiveness in addressing client needs.
  • Certifications and Education - Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, or cloud-related certifications) and a background in technology, business, or a related field can enhance credibility.
