Job Summary
The Office 365 System Administrator/Manager leads the administration, support, and continuous improvement of the TD Industries Microsoft 365 environment. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our collaboration and productivity tools across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with the full suite of modern Microsoft 365 technologies and a strong understanding of cloud-based infrastructure, identity management, and enterprise security practices. This role will serve as the subject matter expert for all things O365, working closely with IT, security, and business teams to deliver seamless digital workplace experiences that are secure, scalable and user-friendly collaboration solutions.
Essential Duties
- Administer and maintain the full Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including:
- Exchange Online
- SharePoint Online
- OneDrive for Business
- Microsoft Teams
- Microsoft Entra ID, Hybrid and On-Prem AD
- Microsoft Purview (Compliance & Information Protection)
- Microsoft Defender for Office 365
- Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI)
- Intune / Endpoint Manager
- Microsoft Viva
- Manage user identities, roles, and access controls using Entra ID and Conditional Access policies.
- Implement and monitor security and compliance policies, including DLP, retention, and eDiscovery.
- Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API.
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for O365-related incidents and service requests.
- Monitor service health, usage reports, and audit logs to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
- Collaborate with IT security, infrastructure, and application teams to support business needs.
- Stay current with Microsoft 365 roadmap updates and proactively recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with business units to prioritize and tailor IT support models to specific line of business and support group needs. (e.g., Construction, Service, Manufacturing, Sales).
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding IT processes to ensure seamless technology access, asset provisioning, and compliance.
- Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
- 5 years of Office 365 administration experience required. Experience with hybrid Exchange environments is preferred.
- ITIL Certified preferred, but not required.
- Microsoft Azure Certifications such as MS-102: Microsoft 365 Administrator, SC-300: Identity and Access Administrator, and MD-102: Endpoint Administrator are preferred, but not required.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 admin centers and PowerShell scripting.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 licensing models and service plans.
- Proven ability to manage and secure collaboration tools like Teams and SharePoint.
- Experience with mobile device management (MDM) and application protection policies via Intune.
- Understanding of compliance frameworks and Microsoft Purview tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of Core Microsoft 365 Services such as Exchange Online, Sharepoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Teams
- Experience with Identity & Access Management in hybrid and or cloud-only environments:
- Microsoft Entra ID - Identity management, SSO, MFA, Conditional Access.
- Microsoft Entra Permissions Management - Cloud infrastructure entitlement management (CIEM).
- Microsoft Entra ID Governance - Lifecycle management, access reviews, entitlement management.
Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365 - AI-powered productivity tools integrated into Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.
