Job Description:

Microchip Technology Inc. has a Strategic Marketing Manager opening preferably based in Chandler AZ. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing strategy and vision for our USB solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and drive USB strategy and vision within the team
  • Develop and manage winning USB solution roadmap
  • Promote existing and new solutions to global customer base
  • Solid customer engagement to drive new solution definition
  • Solid understanding of competitive landscape and how to position against them
  • Close relations with field sales and applications engineers to drive and close design wins
  • Create new solution business cases and plans to clearly articulate ROI
  • Execute new solution launches including customer presentation, sales and channel training, technical collateral, press material, pricing, promotion tours, and web page content generation
  • Forecast global demand to ensure seamless supply chain
  • Cross divisional engagement to maximize opportunities for Microchip

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • BSEE or equivalent with at least ten years of relevant experience in the semiconductor industry, or MBA (preferred) with 8 years of relevant experience in the semiconductor industry
  • Knowledge of USB market preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
  • Must be a solid team player and be able to work in a cross functional and divisional team environment across global locations
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, presentation, writing and listening skills
