POSITION SUMMARY:

The position summary states the general nature and purpose of the job. Overall accountabilities are defined in this section.

Duties include but are not limited to the following: Troubleshoots and repairs complex food processing and packaging equipment along with aid in the up keep of the facility and grounds. Other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITIES AND TASKS:

Responsibilities and tasks are written as follows:

View all areas of plant processing and packaging equipment Review process schedule. Preventative and predictive maintenance along with trouble shooting and repairs of non-scheduled break downs Assess all downtime situations and notify maintenance Supervisor /maintenance Manager of any major problems Review work orders and preventive maintenance work orders and prioritize. Meet with relief personnel to discuss previous shift situations or any major problems Review shift operations with Supervisor. Conduct Repairs and Preventative maintenance to assigned equipment. Completed required daily paper work and turn in to the active supervisor.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • High School Grad or GED Required
  • At least 2 years of experience in Food Processing Maintenance desired
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Good understanding of HACCP, USDA, OSHA, EPA Regulations
  • Proficient in cost reduction methods
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Tech School training in Electronics
  • Two years of Electro-Mechanical experience desired.

  • Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights, up to and occasionally in excess of 50 pounds
  • Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases.
