We're seeking a skilled individual to join our team at Clarendon Estate. In this part-time role, you'll perform routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of equipment; from tractors and automobiles to forestry equipment and small engines. Position Details: Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Technician Location: Beaufort, SC Position Type: Part-time Housing Provided: No Work Vehicle Provided: Yes Supervisory Position: No Time & Attendance Tracking: Yes Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions Perform preventative maintenance and repair services Inspect equipment regularly to ensure operational safety and performance Source, order, and manage replacement parts and inventory Maintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance facility Required Skills & Competencies: Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities Ability to work independently and collaboratively Sound judgment and attention to detail Motivation and persistence in task completion Clear and effective communication (verbal, written, and digital) Professionalism and accountability Commitment to safety standards and best practices Physical Requirements: Ability to lift/move up to 75 lbs and perform physical labor for extended periods Able to work in various physical positions (climbing, kneeling, standing, etc.) Must be able to use tools and operate maintenance equipment Must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive Environmental Conditions: Outdoor work environment in all weather conditions Exposure to heat, cold, humidity, dust, fumes, and potential contact with wildlife Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required 1-2 years of experience in mechanical repair (required) Experience with metal fabrication (preferred) Military, technical, or vocational training is a plus Additional Requirements: Must adhere to company policies and employee handbook Pre-employment drug testing and ongoing random testing required USD 19.57 - 29.38 per hour Compensation: Hourly base pay rate is $19.57 - $29.38/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
