GENERAL SUMMARY: The Senior Medical Dosimetrist-Certified is a member of the radiation oncology team who has expert knowledge of the overall characteristics and clinical relevance of radiation oncology treatment machines and equipment, with a specialized focus on O-ring systems such as Ethos and Halcyon. This role is cognizant of procedures that are more complex than routine radiotherapy and requires advanced education and expertise necessary to generate and oversee adaptive, and complex radiation dose distributions and dose calculations in collaboration with the medical physicist and radiation oncologist. The Senior Medical Dosimetrist-Certified will also spearhead the implementation of new treatment planning techniques, mentor and teach other staff, manage routine updates to planning protocols, and actively participate in departmental research.
