Job Objective:
Supervises contract crews, equipment operators, and other personnel at work site in the installation of production facilities field wide. Perform detailed project planning in preparation for execution and field activities.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Identifies, plans and executes projects that support the Asset Team's objectives including:
    • Supervising construction and inspections crews performing electrical, mechanical, structural, and civil projects to include installing process equipment, controls, pipelines, power generation equipment; repairing pipelines, tanks, vessels, and structural components; and constructing roads, pads, and other field support infrastructure.
    • Supervising set-up, operation, and repair of oil field machines and equipment and working with field operators to adjust controls that regulate operational functions to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Participates in project concept development and provides input on constructability, operability, and maintenance throughout project design phases.
  • Provides visible leadership to project execution and construction crews in the field. Emphasizes safety in all aspects of the project.
  • Provides oversite and field management of project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Contributes to estimates and bid packages, supports proposal evaluations with project teams.
  • Develop and implement innovative project execution strategies
  • Makes frequent field visits to provide visible leadership to project execution teams.
  • Identify ways to plan and execute projects in order to increase execution efficiency, reduce costs and improve quality and safety.
  • Maintainsclearandconsistentcommunicationwithprojectstakeholders and constructionteams.
  • Monitors contractor progress and performance against plan. Identifies variance to baselined budgets and schedules. Works to maintain performance of contractor activities to plan. Identifies and communicates deviations to Project Team for input and resolution.

Other Job Responsibilities:

  • Makes frequent field visits to provide visible leadership to project execution teams.
  • Identifies ways to plan and execute project in order to reduce costs and improve quality and/or safety.
  • Self-performs management and technical aspects of a project to the maximum extent possible.
  • Ability to be available 24 hours per day (on call for questions, emergencies, etc.).
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Fifteen (15) years minimum experience in construction trades and/ or industrial construction of oil and gas production field equipment.
  • Five (5) years' experience supervising construction crews in oil and gas facility's.
  • Ability to accurately solve problems.
  • Ability to work long hours in order to cover/monitor assigned field territory.
  • Ability to travel to remote locations via large and small planes, helicopter or boat, and ability to don and doff immersion suit.
  • Ability to work in arctic conditions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
  • Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
  • Ability to consider safety in all decisions.
  • Provide feedback directly to contract crews to uphold standards for Safety, Quality, and efficiency.
  • Ensuring project readiness prior to crews working in the field.
  • Construction and field engineering experience preferred.
  • Experience on the North Slope, Alaska is preferred.

Education Requirements:

  • Required: Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent; or any equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating sufficient knowledge, ability, and skill to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
