Position Description The Teammate Relations Advisor serves as a trusted partner to people leaders and Teammates. This role provides guidance and consultation on performance management, policy interpretation, workplace concerns, and compliance. The TR Advisor applies professional knowledge and independent judgment to manage cases, conduct complex investigations, and recommend solutions that align with our values and policy requirements. This position influences outcomes through expertise and consultation and contributes to enhanced Teammate experience. Position Accountabilities
- Consult with managers and supervisors on teammate relations matters including performance issues, ADA related workplace accommodations, policy interpretation, workplace conduct, and conflict resolution.
- Lead fact-finding investigations of complex workplace concerns, ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution.
- Develop and review written disciplinary actions (e.g., performance improvement plans) ensuring compliance with policies and legal requirements.
- Identify and assess risk in workplace situations, escalating matters appropriately and recommending solutions to minimize exposure.
- Serves as point of escalation for the Teammate Relations Specialists and provided coaching when necessary.
- Analyze case data to identify patterns and proactively recommend training, communication, or policy enhancements to address root causes.
- Contribute to teammate relations initiatives, including process improvements, policy updates, and manager education efforts.
- Respond to teammate enquiries and HR Connect tickets in a timely manner, ensuring excellent customer service.
- Collaborate with HRBPs and COEs to align teammate relations support with broader talent and organizational strategies.
- Work on ancillary processes such as NMLS compliance and procedures, unemployment claims, and other projects or duties as assigned.
- Stay current on employment law basics, HR best practices and internal policy updates to ensure sound advice.
Organizational Relationship
- This position reports to Manager - Teammate Relations.
Position Qualifications Education & Training
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive HR and/or leadership experience with a focus in employee relations, investigations, or as a generalist with substantial ER exposure.
- PHR or SHRM-CP preferred (or in progress).
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, employment regulations and other pertinent human resource practices.
- Demonstrated ability to apply independent judgment and discretion in addressing Teammate matters.
- Skilled at balancing policy compliance, company values, and business needs.
- Effective communicator, able to coach and influence managers at various levels.
- Strong documentation, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Experience with HR systems, case management tools, and MS Office.
- Effective investigation and negotiation skills.
- Strong presentation, interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong initiative, follow-up, feedback and timely decision-making skills.
Salary offered will be based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. This position is also eligible to participate in either an applicable incentive compensation plan for the position or a discretionary profit sharing bonus program.
