Responsibilities

  1. Coordinates and monitors project work plan and milestones to ensure timely completion and implementation.
    • Manages and monitors project work plan and ensures that project milestones are met by the pre-determined completion date.

1 2. Coordinates all project communication demonstrating timely, clear, appropriate communication through all mediums of written and verbal communication with internal and external stakeholders.

1 3. Anticipates issues and works with the team to swiftly mitigate the impact of these issues on project plan and deadlines.

1 4. Implements project work with relevant departments as assigned.

1 5. Facilitates collaboration and effective decision-making between all project stakeholders.

1 6. Prepares reports, analyses, and presentations utilizing all Microsoft Office software products, including Excel and Power Point.

1 7. Facilitates the various departmental and other meetings as assigned; coordinates meeting arrangements, prepares and distributes agenda, minutes and other communications.

  1. Performs various departmental duties as assigned by the supervisor to enhance the efficient operation of the department.
    • Actively participates in huddles, staff and departmental meetings.

Coordinates departmental events.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Associate's degree in healthcare or a business related field required; Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

EXPERIENCE

Three (3) + years of experience in a healthcare setting strongly preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS:

Ability to organize resources and establish priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment. Knowledge and understanding of relevant clinical workflow, operating systems, policies and procedures. Ability to organize, lead and hold self and others accountable. Ability to delegate effectively. Ability to effectively establish and maintain working relationships with peers and consultants at all levels of the organization. Knowledge of project management software tools as well as strong desktop tool usage including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Must demonstrate excellent organizational ability, communication skills, computer skills, and knowledge of quality and safety.

COMPLEXITY

Overall responsibility for coordinating quality and safety project activities according to design and timeliness expectations. Designs, develops, and coordinates project protocols, documents, and implementation materials.

SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMAND:

Requires traveling throughout the YNHH medical center, between campuses and other delivery networks to perform project

Position Overview
