What you'll do:

As the Business Escrow (BES) Business Development Officer you'll be an integral part of a best-in-class escrow paying and exchange agent business. You'll be part of our leading edge product offering supporting a diverse range of market transactions including M&A, project and municipal finance, private placements and other dynamic transaction types. You'll interface with all levels of management and collaborate in dynamic environments. You'll develop and drive a nimble, innovative growth strategy to source business from multiple channels including, but not limited to: Law firms, Private Equity (PE) and Venture Capital (VC) firms. You'll be responsible for converting networking leads and opportunities into sales.
  • Responsible for driving a nimble, innovative growth strategy to help Escrow Business Development source business from multiple channels including, but not limited to: Law firms, PE & VC firms. IBs and Corporate entities.

  • Partner with Marketing and Product teams to develop messaging and servicing offering platforms that drive success in our markets.
  • Provide data driven support to the BD team to help make selling smarter. Support business development to execute a regional industry plan (eg. conferences, events, associations, ad placements, thought leadership pieces) to expand brand awareness and additional sources of new business.
  • Participate in business strategy sessions and work actively with BES teammates to brainstorm out-of-the box market disruption ideas. Report and track activity in corporate CRM tool, BES deal database and other data sources including 3rd party M&A databases.

What you'll need:

  • 4+ years of related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Intermediate knowledge of spreadsheets and data mining and gathering. Computer skills, including MS Office, required.
  • Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
  • Occasional travel required.
