Job description:
To assist in the investigation of the role of cell death sensing in regulating immune responses, with a particular focus on the response to different cell death modalities. The work involves integration of different types of cell death modalities, flow cytometry-based immune profiling, and molecular dissection of cell death and efferocytosis pathways, aiming to uncover immune-regulatory mechanisms with relevance to infection and chronic inflammation.

Responsibilities-100%:
* Assists in maintainance of cell types in culture and induction of different cell death modalities
* Conducts in vitro experiments using different types of cell death modalities and sensors to study immune regulation in response to cell death
* Performs flow cytometry for immune phenotyping and cell death/efferocytosis analysis
* Uses molecular and cellular tools (e.g., gene knockdown, qPCR, antigen presentation assays) to dissect pathways of cell death sensing

Qualifications

All required qualifications must be documented on application materials.

Required Qualifications:
* BA/BS in a science related field or a combination of education and experience to equal four years.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in cell culture.
* Experience with flow cytometry.
* Experience with laboratory research testing, i.e. ELISA, PCR, Western blot, assay, flow cytometry, etc.
* Experience with MS Office, Prism and FlowJo.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $24.70 - $29.33/hr; depending on education/qualifications/experience

Time Appointment Category: 100% Appointment (If job description above does not specify appointment or expected weekly hours, assume a 100% appointment.)
