Provide application software development services or technical support in more complex situations. Responsible for requirements gathering and BRD/SRD preparation with thorough knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle. Conduct reviews of the test Plan and test Data. Coordinate the technical design, development and documentation of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems. Analyze, define and document requirements for data, workflow, and logical processes and interfaces with other systems. Ensure that expected application performance levels are achieved by coordinating, coding, testing, implementation and documentation. Program well-designed, testable, efficient code. Develop flowcharts, layouts and documentation to satisfy requirements and solutions. Maintain software functionality and currency (technical debt and gain). Actively participate in code reviews. Apply security and privacy principles. Execute full lifecycle software development. Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures. Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems. Ensure software is updated with latest features. Use learning tools such as Pluralsight to complete both recommended and aspirational targets set in personal development plans. Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms. Leverage existing products/functionality and promote reuse. Work alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices. Collaborate cross-functionally with data engineers, business users, project managers and other engineers to achieve elegant solutions. Compile documentation written by more senior developers of all procedures used in system. Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite. SALARY RANGE AND WORK SCHEDULE: $179,982.00 to $185,000.00 per year and 40 hours/week WORK LOCATION: 95 Christopher Columbus Drive, One Pershing Plaza, Jersey City, NJ 07399 REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related field, and seven (7) years of experience in the job offered, or in a related IT occupation in the financial industry. Seven (7) years of experience must include: Developing reusable components, services, and modules that interact end to end with backend systems via REST APIs adhering to design standards using Angular, TypeScript, HTML, Javascript, CSS, Angular Material and RxJS; Building applications that expose components as Module Federated MicroFrontends, allowing them to be consumed directly in Web platforms, thereby achieving seamless integration and modularization of components using Webpack and using Angular Framework; Writing unit tests and end-to-end tests using GIT hub co-pilot, Jasmine, Karma, and Protractor to ensure the reliability and quality of Angular applications with Jasmine, Karma, Protractor; Collaborating with Data Architects to create Oracle database schema, design tables, and seamlessly integrate them with the application, and enhancing query execution performance; Developing RESTful endpoints and conducting periodic performance tuning to up the standards of the product using profiling tools including Postman, Fiddler Network monitoring tool, JProfile; and Working closely with UI/UX designers to implement responsive and user-friendly interfaces that meet unified design standards with Angular, HTML, CSS, and UI/UX and Figma design tools. The base salary/range for this position is expected to be $179,982.00 to $185,000.00 per year at the commencement of employment. Base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the Pershing LLC total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will, and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors. BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $95,000 and $160,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
