THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Senior Director of Sales, the Regional Sales Manager will:

  • Generate and execute against a sustainable and profitable growth plan, achieving growth with all customers, including distributors within the assigned territory
  • Build and sustain strong customer relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
  • Use expertise to identify solutions that meet customer's needs, presenting them with a clear rationale and value proposition to gain customer agreement. Also identify new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate and connect with all applicable departments (sales, technical, customer support, product management, supply chain) to deliver high quality solutions and service to our customers, while ensuring transparency and alignment within the organization
  • Responsible for communicating all field intelligence, competitive trends and up to date information regarding field sales projects and opportunities through CRM tools

THE QUALIFICATIONS

The right candidate will be a self-motivated sales executive with a proven track record of delivering growth and customer centric solutions. Your credentials ideally include:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Environmental Science, or related field)
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in B2B technical sales with a proven track record of success; water treatment experience in industrial, chemical or petrochemical industries a plus. International experience is a plus, but not required
  • Requires excellent selling, teamwork, negotiation, organizational, communication and computer skills. Demonstrated ability to build strong customer relations and deliver customer centric solutions i.e. digs deeply into customer feedback and drives the innovations that can enable the organization to better meet customer's future needs.
  • Ability to work within all levels of a customer organization, including but not limited to Executive Directors, Purchasing Managers, Plant Managers and Superintendents, and Plant Operators
  • Demonstrated initiative, self-motivation, assertiveness and results orientation. Holds self and others accountable to meet commitments.
  • Must reside in Northeast territory (ME, VT, NH, MA, RI, NY, NJ, PA, DE, MD)
