Level II

  • Estimated annual base pay: $104,800.00(minimum) - $131,000.00(midpoint) - $157,200.00(maximum)

Level III

  • Estimated annual base pay: $126,000.00(minimum) - $157,500.00(midpoint) - $189,000.00(maximum)

Are you ready to make your mark? If you're a Global Supplier Manager, we have an exciting opportunity for you. Management of global supply base to maximize performance and leverage to positively impact financial performance of all Woodward business groups. Includes all aspects of commercial and contractual management of the assigned suppliers. Key focus is the selection and development of the supply base to match Woodward's future needs but also includes support of the business group-based purchasing functions in the areas of strategic alignment and critical issue escalation.

Location Options: This position can be based inFort Collins, CO,Niles, IL, orRockford, IL.

What You Will Be Doing

Level II

  • Develop and execute sub-commodity strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including contract negotiations and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve supplier issues and drive improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze market trends and supplier data to inform sourcing and negotiation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational sourcing processes.
  • Support supplier development efforts to enhance long-term viability and value to the organization.
  • Provide mentorship to Level I Supplier Managers on sourcing tools and processes.

Level III

  • Lead the development and execution of global supplier strategies impacting enterprise-level goals.
  • Manage complex supplier relationships, including executive-level engagements and high-value negotiations.
  • Oversee enterprise-wide sourcing projects requiring advanced project management and risk mitigation skills.
  • Integrate internal and external data to drive sourcing decisions and supplier strategy development.
  • Lead initiatives to improve supplier performance and align with Woodward's strategic objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts across regional and global supplier networks.
  • Act as a key advisor on supplier management, sourcing, and contract strategy for business groups.

What We Are Looking For

  • Strong knowledge of supplier management, sourcing, contract development, and negotiation strategies.
  • Operations related commodities experience in Chemicals, Gases and Facilities.
  • Proficiency in project scheduling, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining focus on operations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including experience working with multicultural teams and Executive level stakeholders.
  • Understanding of market dynamics and their impact on supplier performance and business objectives.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean principles, and continuous improvement practices.

Level II

  • US - Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) required, advanced business degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in supplier management, sourcing, contract development, and negotiation required.

Level III

  • US - Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) required, advanced business degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic supplier management, sourcing, contract execution, and negotiation required.
