PLI is searching for a technology professional to fill the role of IT Business Analyst (responsibilities and qualifications are described below). SUMMARY

TheIT Business Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the continuous delivery of business value to stakeholders and customers. The IT Business Analyst will collaborate closely with business, product, and technology teams throughout the entire software development lifecycle to support the successful delivery of products and feature enhancements. Key responsibilities include driving business process improvements, managing requirements, facilitating project execution, and supporting quality assurance and DevOps initiatives. The role is highly cross-functional, bridging business analysis, quality assurance, project management, and application support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Scope, elicit, analyze and document business requirements for new and existing applications, including user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, business rules, and functional requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, analyze, and document business needs, evaluating their impact on products, services, systems, processes, and workflows.


  • Conduct end-to-end requirements gathering, impact analysis, and documentation to ensure development aligns with business goals.


  • Drive proof-of-concept evaluations for new ideas and business proposals.Drive the development pipeline by documenting As-Is and To-Be processes/workflows,


  • Help shape product roadmaps to support business transformation and growth.


  • Evaluate customer data to inform business decisions and strategy.


  • Drive the resolution of issues identified during the analysis, design and testing phases to ensure quality and project momentum.



Project & Scrum Management



  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring features are ready for release within sprint timelines.


  • Lead and facilitate project meetings, manage, and prioritize issues and defects, and assist with JIRA and other project management tools.


  • Manage UAT, and support feature releases and user training.



Application & DevOps Support



  • Investigate, analyze, and prioritize activities to support IT maintenance and enhancement efforts.


  • Collaborate with the DevOps team to support continuous delivery and ensure smooth deployment processes.



Quality Assurance & Testing



  • Conduct quality assurance using a Behavior Driven Development (BDD) approach to validate viable software solutions.


  • Perform regression testing and actively participate in integration testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).



Continuous Improvement & Other Duties



  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance business processes, system efficiency, and team collaboration.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support evolving business and technology needs.



QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS



  • 5-7 years of IT/IS business analysis experience, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems and their integration is required.
  • Proficiency in SQL is essential for data analysis, reporting, and troubleshooting across systems.


  • Experience in the professional accreditation or legal industry is a plus.


  • Experience working in an agile development environment, with hands-on knowledge of agile methodologies, software, and tools.


  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, business, or a related field is required.



Technical & Analytical Skills:



  • Experience gathering and documenting end-to-end requirements, including creating Use Cases, User Stories, workflows, and Business Process Models.


  • Strong analytical abilities with excellent logic, reasoning, and attention to detail.


  • Ability to investigate and analyze data using appropriate tools, drawing meaningful insights to inform decision-making.


  • Proficiency with Salesforce is required, including a strong understanding of the platform's capabilities and best practices.


  • Mastery of databases, SQL, Postman, XML, Jira, and Confluence is required.


  • Experience with developing test plans and test scripts for validating system functionality and performance.


  • Familiarity with API integrations and data migration processes is a plus, especially when working with third-party applications.



Additional Technical Knowledge (Preferred):



  • Experience with NetSuite, PowerBI, Marketing Cloud, Google Analytics, and MongoDB is a plus.


  • Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines is beneficial for supporting continuous delivery initiatives.



Soft Skills & Collaboration:



  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.


  • Ability to develop and foster strong relationships with business and IT teams, serving as a bridge between both sides.


  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills, with experience leading requirements workshops and project meetings.


  • Proactive, self-motivated, highly organized, curious, and creative.

COMPENSATION RANGE FOR THIS POSITION

$108,000 - $120,000 per annum
