Job Description:

The Setup Specialist, Automated Labeling and Packaging is responsible for performing setup and challenges of the Automated Labeler, Car toner and Case Packer/Palletizer. They monitor the equipment during batch production, troubleshooting issues and making adjustments as needed, and assist in format part changeover. The Setup Specialist supports production improvements by analyzing present and proposed manufacturing processes and technologies, equipment tooling, and automation, with the goal of reducing rejects and increasing capacity. Other responsibilities include equipment performance tracking, review of OEE/OPE metrics, and ensuring adherence to current and future regulatory requirements.

  1. Oversee the mechanical operation of high-speed automated packaging equipment in GMP production areas.
  2. Assist Maintenance and Engineering, as applicable, with machine troubleshooting and format part changeover.
  3. Build an inspection plan for equipment tooling and replacement of worn out components. Continuously monitor wear condition of machine and format parts.
  4. Optimize production operations to maximize yield and reduce waste. Review OEE/OPE metrics, identify root causes, and develop corrective actions for poor performing equipment/production runs.
  5. Assist in the installation, qualification, and test (i.e. machinability) runs of manufacturing process equipment.
  6. Investigate incidents in collaboration with line QA and Manufacturing personnel. Identify and implement CAPAs as applicable.

Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  2. Trade School or Technology Certificate desired.
  3. 3-5 years of automated manufacturing experience required.
  4. Lead experience is required.
  5. Pharmaceutical or other regulated industry experience required.
  6. Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and think critically preferred.
  7. Commitment to Right First Time Principles desired.
  8. Demonstrated ownership of a process or system including addressing incidents and researching process improvements.
  9. Mastery skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  10. General Awareness in Microsoft PowerPoint.
  11. General Awareness with working knowledge in SAP and ETQ.

Shift: Monday- Friday, 7am- 3pm

Compensation & Benefits:

This is an on-site, full-time position located in Spokane, WA.

Hiring Wage: ($30.93- $41.85) depending on experience, with opportunity for growth, promotion and annual raises. Midpoint and above is reserved for employees who have longevity with Jubilant HollisterStier and consistently exhibit outstanding performance over a period of time in the role

    • Shift Differential pay is available for this position, and is determined by hours worked on selected shift.
