Assistant Professor in Pharmacology & Toxicology

The University of Kansas, School of Pharmacy invites applications for a faculty position at the assistant professor level in Pharmacology and Toxicology. The successful candidate must hold a PhD, MD, or equivalent degree with research expertise in studies of the mechanisms of disease and drug action, with the goal to advance disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment for drug abuse disorders, Alzheimer's disease or other neurological or neuropsychiatric disorders. The position will require teaching graduate and pharmacy students, establishing an active externally funded research program and providing services at the department, school, and university levels.

Research - 40% - Development and maintenance of an active, externally funded research program in pharmacology as described below.

Teaching - 40% - Preparation and presentation of lectures and other teaching approaches in graduate and undergraduate courses in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology.

Service - 20% - Participate in service activities at the level of the Department, School, University and profession.
