Job Description

Manages clinical engineering strategy and operations of the department to ensure alignment with the mission, values and objectives of the organization. Responsible for all research, development, design, and testing of clinical equipment.

Job Responsibility




  • Provides leadership to the Clinical Engineering team members, supervisors, and managers by communicating and guiding toward achieving department objectives.
  • Develops, communicates, and builds consensus for goals in alignment with the health system. Oversees the implementation of the medical equipment and closely monitors the efficiency and effectiveness ensuring cost-effective reliability.
  • Develops and implements practices, policies and procedures in functional areas of the department.
  • Ensures accountability for the development, monitoring of and compliance with the departmental budgets, including capital and operating budgets.
  • Maintains knowledge of applicable statutory, regulatory and administrative requirements relative to departmental operations and ensures departmental compliance.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers by employing interpersonal and conflict management skills.
  • Ensures delivery and success of projects and initiatives.
  • Develop others to continuously achieve long and short-term business results.
  • Participates in staffing and capacity planning for the department.

Job Qualification




  • Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 6-10 years of relevant experience and 5-7 years of leadership / management experience, required.
