We are seeking a talented, experienced individual to join our team to fill the role of Senior Supplier Quality Engineer with Dover Fueling Solutions. The ideal Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is accountable for meeting annual Supplier Quality Objectives and is a hands-on professional experienced in product assurance in the supply chain. SQE drives suppliers to continually develop and improve their processes, focus on defect prevention, reduce variation / waste and provide continuous improvements while consistently meeting DFS requirements. Successful candidates will have solid problem-solving skills, flexibility in dynamic situations and work well in a team environment with suppliers to develop and implement best practices and poka-yoke solutions.

The SQE is a customer-focused advocate with leadership in supplier assurance and continual improvement. A fact-based action-oriented role, the SQE mitigates supply risk, drives effective supplier corrective actions, maximizes supplier remediation / recovery and serves as a domain expert between internal customers and suppliers to ensure teaming functions are performed on-time while fostering relationships in a fast-paced environment. Key capabilities include developing and maintaining close working relationships with suppliers and constituent internal groups to achieve organizational objectives.

Position Responsibilities:

* Assist in supplier qualification ranging from quality, manufacturing, controls, support, technology, and EHS risks, evaluating / rating supplier's demonstrated capabilities to meet DFS requirements

* Drive acceptance criteria alignment between suppliers and Engineering (i.e., PCBA test plans)

* Support suppliers in developing critical process characteristics for new product introductions / legacy part transfers

* Oversees timely PPAP process execution including PPAP review and approval, drives prompt feedback to stakeholders, supports NPD teams w/PPAP status summary reporting

* Manage DFS Dock-to-Stock, Supplier Deviation Request, SCAR processes, and applicable metrics / dashboards

* Report / monitor supplier quality metrics driving proactive initiatives that improve supplier quality performance

* Support supplier quality performance review in Quarterly Business Reviews, as required

* Interface between suppliers and internal stakeholders driving containment, remediation, and corrective action

* Support constituent groups in eliminating barriers that risk part/component quality and delivery in the supply chain

* Deploy data-driven initiatives that proactively drive improved process control across suppliers within the same commodity (look-across from lessons learned)

* Assignments and projects as required to drive continuous improvement

Required Skills:

* Ability to work as a supporting team member or lead other teams (collaborative professional relationship building)

* Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 certified Quality / Business Management Systems

* Strong verbal, written and communication skills (concise, fact-based)

* Deep understanding of manufacturing, support functions, and quality processes

* Key performance indicator / metric updates, management, and reporting

* Strong presentation / speaking capabilities (QBR, Quality Council, Supplier Summit, etc.)

* Ability to manage multiple complex situations simultaneously

* Support/lead on-site supplier qualification assessments

* Data analysis and problem solving (i.e., 8D, A3, 5-Why, Ishikawa, etc.)

* Capability to assess root cause analysis validity and corrective action rigor (error proofing)

* Manufacturing process planning / evaluation

* Experience working with suppliers of both electronic and mechanical commodities

* Self-motivated, high initiative working under minimal supervision

* Working knowledge of special processes (i.e., heat treating, welding, anodize, powder coat, NDT)

* Strong understanding /interpretation of Engineering drawings and GD&T, related specifications such as bills of material, cable drawings, PCBA schematics

Candidates should be prepared to provide examples of prior experience such as successfully completed 8D / A3, robust 5-Why's & proofed corrective actions, examples of KPI's & presentations, etc.

Qualifications:

* Minimum of 5 years' experience in Supplier Quality Assurance role

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience (i.e., Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc.)

* Prior experience with new product introduction, PPAP, FMEA, RCCA, CTQs, control plans, FAI, MSA, capability studies, gap assessments

* Ability and willingness to travel as required approximately 35% of the time, possibly on short notice
