Assistant Buyer

With limited supervision, you'll play a crucial role in purchasing, PO creation, vendor invoice processing, inventory control, and vendor issue resolution. How You'll Make an Impact

• Manage accounts payable processes and monitor vendor accounts.

• Process invoices, purchase orders, and other financial documents.

• Purchase materials according to technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, and terms.

• Support Senior Buyer with vendor management and accounts payable tasks.

• Collaborate with various departments to understand procurement needs and specifications.

• Analyze and report on key performance indicators related to procurement activities.

• Stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and new product developments.

• Assist in developing and implementing procurement policies and procedures.

Your Background

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

• Work authorization to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related environment.

• Strong experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred.

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

• Experience communicating via phone and email with vendors regarding ordering/invoice discrepancies.

• Strong communication skills to work with different departments, including project management, off-shore accounting teams, field service technicians, quality, safety, and management.
