What you will do

  • Drive Automation: Oversee the design, development, and implementation of IaC solutions to manage global virtualization and compute infrastructure, ensuring consistency, scalability, and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with platform operations, integration, storage, networking, and product teams to define infrastructure roadmaps, aligning with organizational goals and industry best practices.
  • Champion Professional Development: Create tailored development plans, training programs, and career pathways to upskill the team in coding, DevOps practices, and leadership.
  • Ensure Compliance and Security: Partner with security and compliance teams to implement robust controls, ensuring infrastructure meets regulatory standards.
  • Innovate and Improve: Identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies to enhance infrastructure efficiency and resilience.
  • Mentor: Guide fellow team of system administrators, fostering their growth in IaC and automation skills, while onboarding and developing new developer hires. Provide hands-on mentorship to build a high-performing, collaborative team culture.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Haves:

  • Ten+ years in IT infrastructure, with at least 5 years in an automation development and leadership role managing teams in compute, development or related domains.
  • Proven experience with IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Github)
  • Hands-on coding experience (e.g., Python, Korn/Bourne Shell) or prior role as a developer, enabling deeper technical guidance for the team.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor teams, particularly in transitioning to coding or DevOps practices, with a focus on professional growth.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., storage, networking, security) and align with respective stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical infrastructure strategies, balancing innovation with operational stability.

Nice to Haves:

  • DevOps Practices: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, or container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
