The Impact You Will Have

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of MN is hiring aSenior Business Analyst in Eagan, MN. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing, developing, supporting, reporting, and coordinating business workflow automation to implement efficient processes at an enterprise level for a segment of our Health Services Partnership team. This role focuses on supporting partnerships with internal stakeholders, analyzing business components related to our products, and identifying opportunities for program/process improvement. The ideal candidate is a skilled implementer and doer who thrives in both analysis and execution.

You will assist in solving problems identified by the Product Owner, focusing on the details to develop and implement effective solutions that meet the requirements set by the Product Owner.

The ideal candidate should have over 5 years of experience in documenting, analyzing, and implementing business solutions within project or product teams. Experience in healthcare and government markets (Medicare, Medicaid, FEP) is strongly preferred. Proven skills in process improvement and stakeholder collaboration are essential.

This role is hybrid, 2 days a week in office, out of Eagan, MN.

Your Responsibilities

  • Analyze business components related to healthcare products.

  • Collaborate with operations and business stakeholders.

  • Design, develop and document recommendations for process and program changes.

  • Update job aids and adjust training materials.

  • Ensure end-to-end implementation of plans and ideas.

  • Roll out and operationalize new processes.

  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis.

  • Identify trends, emerging issues, and recommend best practices.

  • Document metrics and process changes.

  • Participate in and coordinate individual initiatives to ensure progress.

  • Maintain communication regarding project status, risks, and priorities.

  • Act as a liaison with internal and external partners to identify opportunities and develop implementation plans.

Required Skills and Experiences

  • 5+ years of related professional experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.

  • Advanced collaborative, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to develop accurate and appropriate communications.

  • Advanced ability to communicate to all levels of management.

  • Advanced research, analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access.

  • Strong ability to make decisions based on analysis and business needs.

  • Advanced ability to bring a different perspective to situations and challenge the status quo.

  • Project management skills.

  • Proven ability to work independently with guidance in only the most complex situations.

  • High school diploma (or equivalency) and legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Preferred Skills and Experiences

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Background in healthcare operations, with a strong preference for experience in government markets (Medicare, Medicaid, FEP).

  • Experience working in the managed care/healthcare insurance industry

  • Strong documentation skills with the ability to create clear and actionable plans.

  • Comfortable analyzing data from clinical and operational perspectives.

  • Proven ability to implement solutions and train stakeholders on new processes and systems

  • Experience working in a Product-led and/or Agile environment and/or background in project management.

  • Experience with writing business/functional requirements

  • Experience in building out stories and user requirements.

  • Proficient in stakeholder interviews and building business cases.

  • Experience with performance reporting and dashboard development.

  • Extensive experience in the healthcare payer industry.

  • Experience in care management.

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay Range: $88,600.00 - $117,400.00 - $146,200.00 Annual

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including skills, ability, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.
