POSITION SCOPE

The Plant Dispatcher will be responsible for printing tickets, taking customer orders, interacting with customers and truckers, and loading asphalt on trucks via our computer system. This person must be willing to work a flexible work schedule, because hours may vary.

PRIMARY DUTIES

• Help keep drivers safe and promote high expectations of productivity
• Attention to detail while printing tickets, taking customer orders and loading asphalt on trucks via computer system
• Ability to multitask and remain calm in stressful situations
• Coordinate a fleet of drivers to ensure on-time performance is achieved
• Communicate well with others
• Excellent customer service skills and team player attitude
• Some overtime may be required
• Occasional travel may be required
• Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• Self-starter with problem solving capabilities
• Computer knowledge and basic typing skills
• Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at any given time
• Desires a fast-paced work environment
• Have strong customer service and interpersonal relations skills
• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
• Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule, because hours may vary
