The Opportunity

DAT is seeking a Senior Manager of Data Analytics Services to lead our growing DAS team in Seattle. Data Analytics Services (DAS) is DAT's specialized consulting team that bridges the gap between our comprehensive freight data and the complex analytical needs of enterprise customers. We work directly with brokers, carriers, and shippers to deliver bespoke data solutions that drive measurable business outcomes and competitive advantage.

This role will lead our team of Analytics Consultants through an exciting phase of expansion. You'll be responsible for scaling our consultative analytics business while building the team and processes needed to serve our growing enterprise customer base across all freight industry segments. As an expanding team, this role requires versatility to drive strategy, manage customer relationships, lead technical delivery, and build organizational capabilities.

What You'll Do

Team Leadership



  • Lead and mentor a team of 4-6 Analytics Consultants
  • Recruit and onboard new team members
  • Establish performance management and professional development processes
  • Implement performance tracking for deliverables and customer outcomes


Business Growth & Strategy



  • Partner with Sales teams to identify and convert solution opportunities
  • Collaborate with pricing and finance teams on optimal pricing structures
  • Lead strategic planning for operations scaling
  • Manage P&L accountability for DAS services


Customer Engagement



  • Serve as escalation point for complex enterprise engagements
  • Lead customer discovery and solution architecture sessions
  • Ensure delivery of custom dashboards, Snowflake shares, and API integrations


Technical Leadership & Innovation



  • Oversee technical delivery of complex data solutions
  • Collaborate with engineering on data pipeline enhancements
  • Drive analytics innovation based on customer needs and market evolution
  • Ensure technical excellence across all deliverables


Cross-Functional Collaboration



  • Partner with Engineering, Product, and Sales teams to ensure exceptional customer experience
  • Support sales teams in technical discovery and account expansion strategies
  • Provide market insights to inform product development and strategic direction


The Skills and Experience You'll Bring

Technical Expertise (5+ years)



  • Advanced SQL and Snowflake proficiency with ability to design complex queries and architect data solutions
  • Deep expertise in business intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms)
  • Strong understanding of data pipeline architecture, ETL/ELT processes, and automated data delivery systems
  • Experience with database integrations, API development, and technical system implementations


Industry Knowledge (5+ years)



  • Supply chain/logistics experience with specific background in freight brokerage, carrier operations, or shipper logistics
  • Deep understanding of freight markets including rate analysis, capacity metrics, and industry dynamics
  • Experience with freight data products such as rate benchmarking, load-to-truck ratios, or market conditions analysis


Leadership Experience (7+ years total, 3+ years management)



  • Management experience leading technical teams, preferably in analytics or consultative roles
  • Track record managing enterprise client relationships and delivering measurable business outcomes
  • Experience in consultative engagement and articulating business value to customers
  • Cross-functional collaboration skills working with sales, engineering, and product teams


Strategic & Analytical Skills



  • Experience managing complex data science products and scaling analytical service offerings
  • Track record growing analytics or technology businesses in fast-paced environments
  • Strategic thinking ability to balance immediate customer needs with long-term business strategy
  • Complex problem-solving skills for ambiguous customer challenges


Preferred Qualifications



  • Advanced degree in Analytics, Data Science, Supply Chain Management, or related technical field
  • Experience with freight technology platforms (TMS, load boards, rate management systems)
  • Background in management consulting or customer-facing analytics roles
  • Experience with modern data stack technologies (dbt, Airflow, cloud data platforms)
  • Familiarity with machine learning applications in logistics

For Washington-based candidates, in compliance with the Washington States Pay Transparency Law, theminimum salary for this role is $170,000.00 + benefits + target bonus. The maximum compensation for this role can vary significantly depending on your job-related skills and experience. DAT considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education and training, core skills, internal equity, and market and business elements when extending an offer.
