Position Summary: Provide both support to the erection superintendents and improved communication for our engineering department. Ensures proper quality standards are met for erection of members. Inspects welded and grouted connections to ensure projects meet details and standards set forth in Erection drawings.

Job Duties & Responsibilities: All employees are required to follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment, and the production of high-quality products.

  • Responsible for developing an inspection report, as built drawings and deficiency reports.

  • Maintain necessary documentation for compliance with PCI Erector Certification Program.

  • Assist in developing safety plans, audits, accident reports, and erection objectives.

  • Supports QC Technician A in planning, implementing, and performing erection crew jobsite audits required for compliance with PCI Erector.

  • Certification Program - Provides inspection activity for product throughout erection cycle.

  • Assist with formulating and maintaining erection control objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals - Implements inspection criteria and procedure.

  • Coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with erection superintendents and supervisors to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.

  • Inspects work sites to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards, determines corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented - Provides any information or material needs to prevent hazardous conditions.

Job Specifications or Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required with 2 years in a technical or vocational program. A minimum of 1-3(+) years of precast erection experience is required. Must have a valid Driver's License with Clean MVR. Previous Management, Construction, Building Layout Experience or Knowledge is preferred. Certified to operate Ariel Lift is required. AWS Certified Weld Inspector is preferred.
