Accounts Payable Representative

We are looking to fill an accounts payable position to work onsite out of our corporate office in Southington, CT.

Responsibilities

Process accounts payable transactions in accordance with financial policies and procedures.
Review invoices for appropriate approvals, correct coding, and accurate amounts.
Match and validate purchase orders and receipts to invoices.
Collaborate with internal departments to reconcile invoice discrepancies.
Enter prepared invoices into ERP for payment.
Process check runs according to work instructions.
Assist vendors and suppliers with questions about payments and balances.
Match and attach copy of check payments to vouchers.
File vouchered invoices
Perform additional duties as directed by supervisor.

Requirements & Qualifications

High School Graduate or equivalent, accounting certification or degree preferred.
Experience directly related to the duties of the position.
Capable of performing basic math functions
Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
Analytical, high level of attention to detail
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to multitask while remaining organized
Ability to analyze and problem-solve independently.
