HDR is looking for an Owner's Advisor Project Manager to join our Water Business Group. The successful candidate will be involved with our Water Business Group's Owner Advisor program. This position will collaborate with and leverage HDR staff across the company and teaming partners to develop solutions for our clients. The primary duties of this position include pursuing, planning, managing, and delivering all aspects of water Owner Advisor projects. On a day-to-day basis, they'll be expected to:
- Provide project management leadership including planning, contract administration and management, technical consulting, design reviews, subcontract management and construction services.
- Collaborate with HDR operations leaders, market sector directors, project managers, commercial managers, and project teams to deliver world class quality in owner advisor services, project management services and construction services for projects and programs utilizing multiple delivery models.
- Actively engage with the local project teams and assist in Go/No-Go discussions, project risk assessments, SOQs, proposals, interviews, and negotiations as required.
- Participate in client relationship management, client presentations, conference presentations, and interviews.
- Assist Owners with negotiations with Engineering, Design-Build (DB) and Construction Management At-Risk (CMAR) contractor partners.
- Participate in scope, schedule, and budget development for Owner Advisor projects.
- Provide DB and CMAR best practice guidance to pursuit and delivery teams.
- Mentor and develop other employees.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, or similar combination of relevant education and experience
- 11 years of heavy civil construction experience
- 5 years of project management experience
- Strong leadership skills and project management experience with remote teams is preferred
- Understands contractual risk and mitigation strategies in alternative delivery models
- Proven experience managing projects, client relationships, proposal development, and business development
- Self-starter with excellent writing and communication skills
- Strong conceptual, organizational, problem solving, and collaboration skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and conferencing platforms (MS Teams, etc.)
- Familiar with estimating and scheduling software, project management software
- Professional Engineer licensure is preferred
- Local candidates are preferred

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- 7 years related experience
- A minimum of 2 years project management experience
- Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
