Senior Purchasing and Production Planning Manager

Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000

Summary:

As the Senior Purchasing and Production Planning Manager your primary responsibilities will be to hire, train, coach, and manage an integrated Material and Production Planning team.

This position is located onsite in Darien, WI.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Hire, train, coach, and manage an integrated Material and Production Planning team
• Establishing performance standards.
• Evaluate individual and team performance
• Ensure compliance with company policies
• Meet leadership's goals using PSI's IMPACT values (Innovation, Motivation, Passion, Accountability, Communication, Trust)
• Ensure collaborative communication and cooperation with Production Management, Warehousing, and Engineering to coordinate and manage production schedules based on customer requirements
• Coordinate daily and weekly reviews and maintenance of communication documents for current and upcoming supply issues
• Engage and escalate unresolved issues as appropriate to drive vendor on time performance and production shortage resolution
• Ensure proper and timely processing using ERP system-based information to drive internal visibility
• Cultivate and support vendor relationships related to projects and initiatives for Supply Chain as needed
• Help identify vendors, establish vendor standards and SLAs, and monitor and evaluate performance with a focus on timely delivery, quality, and managing costs
• Collaborate with other departments to achieve corporate targets and to improve organizational efficiency with a focus on material availability and expediting
• Meet productivity standards as required for this position
• Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proven success managing teams
• Minimum of 7 years purchasing and/or production planning management experience
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Experience with ERP systems - Vantage or Epicor a plus
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and advanced Excel skills including functions such as V-lookup
• Must be self-directed and motivated
• Ability to manage multiple detail-oriented tasks while working under tight deadlines
• Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
• Strong oral and written communication skills
