Position Summary:

As a Sales Executive for our Total Fluid Solutions, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our offerings, including cardlock fleet cards, fuel to above-ground tanks or fleet fueling, and lubricants. This multifaceted position requires a dynamic individual who can excel as a salesperson, brand ambassador, leader, and strategic decision-maker. You will be responsible for understanding profit margins, managing budgets, and possessing in-depth product knowledge. Your leadership style should inspire your team to surpass sales targets and consistently deliver outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Sales Portfolio: Oversee a diverse portfolio of medium to large Commercial & Industrial (C&I) customers across various industries, including construction, mining, healthcare, agriculture, and transportation. This includes managing Over-The-Road (OTR) fleets and Off-The-Road equipment requiring fuel and services.
  • Drive Customer Value:
    • Increase fuel sales and in-store traffic for Cardlock/C-Store owners.
    • Retain consistent, rateable customers through fleet card programs.
    • Provide marketing support to enhance customer engagement.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement plans to improve energy delivery execution for C&I customers through our Total Fluid Solutions offerings.
  • Stakeholder Influence: Engage and influence key C&I customer stakeholders to adopt available marketing programs and prepare for future operational improvements.
  • Promote Energy Solutions: Encourage C&I customers to focus on energy efficiency and leverage WFS solutions, including bulk fuel delivery, fuel tank solutions, natural gas supply, fleet fuel cards, lubricants, and sustainability offerings.
  • Implement Promotional Programs: Execute branded promotional programs to boost sales and customer loyalty.
  • Performance Management: Maintain high performance scores based on evaluations from management and customers.
  • Business Plan Execution: Successfully implement business plans to achieve organizational goals.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all facilities operate in compliance with current regulatory guidelines.
  • Lead Generation and Pipeline Management: Strategically generate, qualify, and close new business opportunities within a defined geographic region. Utilize CRM systems to track opportunities and develop a pipeline of potential customers.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Oversee the entire business relationship, including prospecting, cold calls, lead generation, creating opportunities, closing business deals, and managing ongoing customer relationships.
  • Problem Solving: Effectively manage prospects and customers in challenging situations, providing solutions that invoke feelings of confidence, security, and respect.
  • Sales Reporting: Compile weekly sales recaps on achievements, losses, and competitive information. Update and maintain a database with accurate customer account information and all business activities and communication.
  • Travel: Daily in-market travel required, with up to 30% overnight travel.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of B2B sales experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Sales experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred but not required.
  • Self-starter with experience working in the field or remotely.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a team and work independently.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Results-oriented with strong multi-tasking abilities.
  • Ability to build rapport with diverse personalities and individuals.
  • Strong customer orientation in interacting with and resolving issues in a timely, professional, and positive manner.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products and CRM systems.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Specific Skills & Knowledge Required:

  • Proven sales or customer service experience.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role within the energy, commercial, or industrial sectors is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and relevant reporting tools is a plus.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
