The Role

Our Manufacturing, logistics, Energy and utilities group is looking for a Sr. Consulting Manager to join our journey. We're looking for someone who is a strong product owner/ manager in the logistics and tolling domain.

We're looking for Senior Consulting Managers who can deliver within Cognizant's Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence, which are: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As a Sr. Consulting Manager (Senior Manager level position) this means leading a team of Consultants through a client-facing engagement, managing escalations, and serving as a the owner of a workstream; maintaining expertise in your domain; meaningfully contributing to the sales process through a mix of RPI development, client presentations, financial modeling, pricing strategy, and flawless delivery; creating service offerings and/or client partner training materials; and contributing to PeopleCare initiatives, recruiting, and mentoring. Responsibilities

  • Work with clients to establish a clear connection between business goals/strategies to capability development, and implementation to achieving desired business value.
  • Define product / platform strategies and solutions focused on tolling
  • Understand the scope and define business requirements with the business stakeholders
  • Map business processes to identify improvement in tolling back-office operations
  • End to end requirements management of products (requirement gathering, conduct requirement walkthrough sessions)
  • Prepare functional use cases, detailed user stories
  • Experience in JIRA or Azure Dev Ops
  • Backlog grooming
  • Validate UX / UI for every feature / function
  • Demonstrate functionalities to client product management teams (internal/external)
  • Review test plans prepared by QA Team
  • Support UAT
  • Assist in resolving scope and requirements related queries
  • Manage change requests / enhancements / features
  • Work with cross-functional teams with different time zones
  • Advanced problem solving skills
  • Ability to articulate requirements (good communication)
  • Create and maintain long-term working relationships with technology teams, functional counterparts, vendors, and business partners.

Qualifications

  • The track record and experience to achieve the above, which includes ideally 8- 10 years of management consulting experience in the logistics and transportation industry, where at least 2 of those (though ideally 4+) have been Digital technology (business or technical consultative) team lead experience
  • Bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent relevant experience, with additional certifications preferred, but not mandatory
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Show proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Have a proven track record of delivering successful consulting projects.
  • Display a deep understanding of the automotive sector including market trends and challenges.
  • Be adept at using data analytics to drive decision-making and strategy development.
  • Be capable of working effectively in a hybrid work model balancing remote and in-office responsibilities.
  • Show a commitment to continuous improvement and staying current with industry advancements.
  • Exhibit strong leadership qualities with the ability to mentor and develop junior team members.

  • Ability to travel if needed for business requirements
