Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is currently accepting applications for a Faculty Credentialing Manager. The incumbent is directly responsible for recruiting and managing vacant adjunct faculty positions by evaluating the faculty applicant academic transcripts and professional credentials to determine teaching qualifications and matching them with the appropriate course requirements. This position requires conducting primary source verification, collecting and validating documents to ensure accuracy of all credentialing elements. The credentialing manager further assesses completeness of information and qualifications relative to credentialing standards by identifying, analyzing and resolving discrepancies, time gaps and other idiosyncrasies that could adversely impact ability to credential. Also by entering, updating and maintaining data from faculty applications into credentialing databases, focusing on accuracy and interpreting or adapting data to conform to the defined data field uses, and in accordance with internal policies and procedures. Other responsibilities include preparing, issuing, electronically tracking and follows-up on appropriate verifications for efficient, high-volume processing of individual applications in accordance with applicable credentialing standards, established procedural guidelines, and strict timelines; making appropriate recommendations to the college Department Chair on new hire adjunct faculty based on the University's need and the applicant's qualifications.

The Faculty Credentialing Manager will regularly review, recommend, and modify business processes as needed to maintain the efficiency and effectiveness of those processes. The Faculty Credentialing Manager will develop relationships with the College Deans, Department/Program/Discipline Chairs, HR, scheduling, and various Worldwide Departments on faculty credentialing matters.

Faculty Credentialing:

  • Recruit and manage external adjunct faculty teaching position postings in Workday and coordinate with HR.
  • Review new faculty applicants to include academic degrees, transcript review, professional and military experience, professional licenses and certifications and teaching experience.
  • Make appropriate new hire adjunct faculty recommendations based on need and qualifications.
  • Faculty application processing in conjunction with HR and the academic colleges
  • Workday data entry and document tracking * Submit new, additional and reactivation Faculty Course Clearance Applications (FCCAs) for approval for all Worldwide faculty (Part-time and Full Time)
  • Faculty document collection, imaging, and record maintenance
  • Communicate effectively in both written and oral formats as appropriately needed for the audience.
  • Manage pre-approval site course listing.
  • Maintain Faculty Course Clearance Application (FCCA) workflow: Respond to electronic FCCA form issues.
  • Data entry into SIS Campus Solutions system to support electronic FCCA system.
  • Department liaison with college administrators for faculty record maintenance
  • Data entry and maintain faculty databases.
  • Service indicators.
  • Coordinate course clearance needs with college admins, scheduling, and the Singapore campus.
  • New Faculty course clearances
  • Coordinate with payroll for hiring eligibility.
  • Knowledge of work status eligibility in U.S. and foreign countries.
  • Data analysis and reporting
  • Analyze the number of faculty cleared for courses and compare course offerings to ensure there is a sufficient number of faculty course clearances is maintained.
  • Supply various quantitative reports as needed and requested.

Review and update Faculty course clearances based on curriculum changes. Inactivate/decertify faculty course clearances based on teaching schedule.

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree

Required skills, knowledge, abilities:

  • Project Management: Ability to coordinate credentialing processes, manage deadlines, and oversee multi-step workflows.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision in reviewing academic records, certifications, and compliance documents. Data Management: Skilled in maintaining and updating databases (e.g., student information systems, credentialing software).
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to assess transcripts, validate credentials, and ensure alignment with institutional and accreditation standards.
  • Problem-Solving: Quickly resolving discrepancies or challenges in credential evaluation or verification.
  • Communication: Clear written and verbal communication to interact with Staff, faculty, administrators.
  • Collaboration and Interpersonal Skills: Working effectively across departments.
  • Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with credential evaluation systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Imaging and Campus Solutions.
  • Time Management: Prioritizing tasks effectively, especially under tight academic or regulatory deadlines.
