SUMMARY:

The Building & Grounds Associate is responsible for the condition and general maintenance of all buildings and grounds on all properties leased or owned by the Adirondack Trust Company and / or Amsure. This position will also perform a variety of courier services, which include delivery and distribution of confidential materials within inter-departmental envelopes, small cash / coin transfers and any other items requested by Supervisor or Department Head. The Building & Grounds Associate must have a safe and reliable vehicle to perform these duties. Candidates must be willing to work all posted hours necessary to accomplish our mission, as well as a willingness to perform all necessary job functions and ensure all customer confidentiality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide security support for all offices and branch locations, including arming/disarming of security systems and the locking/unlocking of employee and customer entrances/exits at assigned buildings at designated times.

Provide security support for the transfer of money, coin, and important documents between the Branches and Main Office.

Provide courier service for the transfer of teller- work and interoffice communications between the Branches and Main Office.

Ensure that all branches and office areas are clean and accessible for customers and employees, including the removal of debris from parking lots and walkways, removal of trash and the season removal of snow and the salting of sidewalks and entrances.

Provide custodial services as required, including cleaning, dusting, sanitizing, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, lamp replacement, and general maintenance of building interiors.

Assist with the movement of furniture, files, equipment, and supplies within and between office areas and branch locations as needed.

Assist with the set-up of facilities for meetings and/or special events

Practice the safe operation of all vehicles, equipment, and tools as necessary to complete job assignments.

Participate in required training, including business continuity, risk management, safety, first aid/CPR, and other self-improvement classes as approved.


*Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

High School Graduate or GED equivalent.

An excellent driving record is also required

SKILLS:

Reliable, Dependable, Detail oriented, Ability to take direction well, work independently, Multi-task, Excellent communication skills

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Ability to work out in the elements for prolonged periods of time

Ability to operate small engine equipment

Ability to use cleaning equipment

Ability to perform general maintenance tasks

Ability to perform security support services
