Job Description: Job Title: Strategy & Change Corporate Title: Assistant Vice President Location: New York, NY Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented candidate to join our team, with a focus on intraday risk monitoring, end-of-day orchestration. The role is suited to candidates who are newly qualified or have proven experience in a relevant Product Control, Middle Office or Business operations function. You will work directly with trading and operations sitting on the trading floor to ensure trade bookings are complete and correct intraday, proactively monitor for discrepancies, orchestrate the end-of-day close, and assist in the substantiation of position risk tie-out. What We Offer You A diverse and inclusive environment that embraces change, innovation, and collaboration A hybrid working model, allowing for in-office / work from home flexibility, generous vacation, personal and volunteer days Employee Resource Groups support an inclusive workplace for everyone and promote community engagement Competitive compensation packages including health and wellbeing benefits, retirement savings plans, parental leave, and family building benefits Educational resources, matching gift, and volunteer programs What You'll Do Monitor intraday trade bookings to ensure completeness and accuracy in Front Office systems Support the end-of-day close process, investigating booking issues as needed Liaise directly with Trading, GSA, and Infrastructure teams to escalate and remediate breaks Investigate root causes of operational issues and inefficiencies, proposing immediate solutions where possible; contribute to improving trade processing workflows, with a focus on control and automation Maintain a strong understanding of key product types: IR Swaps, Index and Single Name CDS, Bonds, Futures etc Assist with the substantiation of PnL variance Skills You'll Need Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or related field. A relevant professional qualification (CFA, ACA) or Master's degree is preferred Proven experience in a Middle Office, Product Control, or Risk and PnL role within an investment bank or financial institution Good product knowledge across Fixed Income and Credit derivatives Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with Trading and Infrastructure stakeholders Python for automation is an advantage Skills That Will Help You Excel Familiarity with Front Office risk and booking systems; understanding of Front-to-Back trade flows and operational risk controls; prior exposure to risk based explains, or end-of-day risk processes; a curious mindset with a drive for continuous improvement Logical thinker with strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines in a fast-paced trading environment A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a strong attention to detail Expectations It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York, NY office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model. The salary range for this position in New York City is $85K to $140K. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications.
