Summary:
Responsible for overseeing and managing complex construction projects through planning, coordinating, and executing construction activities while ensuring compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and project timelines. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions: Collaborate with hospital leadership, architects, and engineering teams to develop project plans and designs that align with the hospital's strategic goals. -Lead and oversee a multidisciplinary project team, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors. -Develop and manage project budgets, including cost estimation, procurement processes, and contract negotiations with vendors, contractors, and suppliers. -Supervise and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, building codes, and safety regulations. -Identify potential risks and challenges associated with construction projects and develop comprehensive risk mitigation strategies. -Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including hospital administrators, department heads, and staff, to provide regular project updates, address concerns, and manage expectations. -Evaluate change requests and modifications to project plans, specifications, or scope. Education Bachelor's Degree Construction Management required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Experience Construction Management Experience 5-7 years required and Project Management 1-2 years required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards. - Strong leadership and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to solve problems and make timely, effective decisions. - Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and build productive relationships. - Familiarity with healthcare facility requirements and regulations, such as infection control and patient safety. - Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the desired quality standards. - Knowledge of sustainable construction practices and environmental considerations.
