Role Summary:
Reporting to the Operations and Customer Service Manager, the Account Representative is a key member of the frontline Business Development sales team. This role is responsible for growing existing customer accounts that are not currently actively managed. This is a proactive sales role requiring this person to regularly contact existing customers through phone calls and other communication methods. This will include engaging with the customer in a friendly and polite manner, assessing the customer's needs, answering customer questions, and being knowledgeable of Forberg Smith's products and services.
Exciting work you will do:
The essential duties and responsibilities of the Account Representative position will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
- Establish and build strong working relationships with Forberg Smith's Sales and Marketing teams
- Reach out to customers and prospects to promote products using various forms of communication, including phone calls, email, etc.
- Create and track campaigns in CRM and business software
- Post-sales follow-up on strategic accounts
- Develop prospect accounts and handover to outside sales as needed
- Engage with customers based on dashboard of new contact creation and inbox notifications
- Train customers on online portal/website as defined by Business Development Leader
- Increase orders by suggesting related items or alternate products, explaining features and benefits, and checking customer's buying history
- Work cross-functionally with marketing and product expert teams to provide customers with relevant marketing material and support
- Keep CRM system up to date with account, contact and opportunity pipeline information
- Respond to incoming calls and e-mail messages from internal and external customers in a prompt manner
- Stay knowledgeable on current, new, and evolving product offerings
- Maintain quality service by adhering to Kendall Group policies, procedures, and standards

What you'll need:
- Work Experience: Entry Level
- Required Education: Associate's degree or equivalent combination of skills and experience
- Analytics/Computer Skills: Experience working with MS Office; ability to learn new software; ability to decide which products to focus on and how best to reach customers
- Organization Skills: Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed; ability to work in fast-paced, continuously evolving environment
- Cross-functional skills: Ability to work well cross-functionally; provide excellent internal and external customer service

Qualifications we prefer but don't require:
- Work Experience: 2 years of sales, customer service, or similar relevant business experience; previous inside/outside sales, previous business development or process instrumentation experience, preferably with a related product line, or with end users in an industrial or technical environment; an understanding of level, pressure, flow and temperature devices;
- Education: Bachelor's degree
- Analytics/Computer Skills: Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, and Salesloft
