Job Title:Autonomous Production Unit Manager (Plant Management, Operations) Join our team and Be You Be Aptar. The Autonomous Production Unit Manager is responsible for the product value stream within the facility. The primary purpose of the APU Manager is to direct all manufacturing activities and support functions of the APU. In line with site objectives and in coordination with transversal departments, the APU Manager will ensure the achievement of APU objectives. This includes focusing on process simplification to allow more time to concentrate on business-critical activities, developing people within the APU to enhance their skills and capabilities, and ensuring a smooth succession plan for key roles within the unit. The APU Manager will also be responsible for fostering a customer-centric approach, ensuring that operations and supply chain management are aligned to provide exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, the APU Manager will work on improving service performance, reducing lead times, and enhancing the overall efficiency of supply chain processes through simplification and digitization. The APU Manager oversees all manufacturing activities with a total respect of lead-time expectation and commitment, quality and EHS requirements, and cost control. Primary Duties and Responsibilities * Respect, apply and deploy the core values of APTAR. * Responsible for all manufacturing activities with total respect to lead-time expectation and commitment, quality and EHS requirements and cost control. * Manages all aspects of production staffing, staff development and performance management. * Drive operational excellence (Lean Manufacturing) and Continuous Improvement initiatives. * Maintain and increase the efficiency of the production equipment. * In charge of leading the cooperation between tooling, maintenance, quality departments. * Coordinate with other APUs and site transversal departments (Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, Safety, HR). * Strive for customer satisfaction by manufacturing products in respect of company's quality, cost and lead-time policies. * Assist in developing strategic plans in which business goals and objectives are met, talent development, customer focus and employee engagement. * Manage daily production activities. * Review action plans to improve production and manufacturing performance. * Lead and develop technical and non-technical production teams * Maintain manufacturing staff performance level by coaching, counseling, disciplining employees, addressing grievances, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. * Initiate plans and processes, which minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of labor, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital and other efficiency measures. * Assure attainment of business objectives and production schedules while ensuring product standards that will exceed our customers' expectations. * Manage spending against budget, controlling spending in relation to changes in production. * Continually improve safety record by ensuring that all safety rules & regulations are respected and by addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety attitudes. * Implement and enforce quality control programs to meet quality objective. Qualifications Experience * Bachelor's or master's (Technical or Engineering) degree in relevant field or equivalent experience. * Minimum 8 years' experience in a production environment. * Experience in working with and leading teams in operation departments (quality, supply chain, production). * 3-5+ years in management * Lean Manufacturing Experience * Excellent computer skills utilizing SAP and MS Office. * Demonstrated analytical proficiency Skills * Persuasive communicator with strong communication skills, able to give presentations and training sessions. * Proven ability to communicate with executives, peers, and team members. * Strong leadership, management and diplomacy skills. * Open minded and creative problem solver in complex situations. * Good interpersonal skills, capable of working well on teams and building strong relationships. * Detail oriented, rigorous, analytical, reactive, independent, and self-motivated. * Strong analytical ability. * Safety Management * Quality assurance * Supply Chain Management * Financial acumen * Problem solving methodologies (QRQC) Preferred Skills * Injection molding experience * Lean Six Sigma * Green Belt Who We are
