Hourly Pay Range:

$18.84 - $27.32 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

  • Full Time
  • Hours: 36 hours per week; Nights (7p-730a); every other weekend and rotating holidays required
  • Required Travel: None

What you will need:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Secretarial training desirable; typing, computer entry, and simple math.
  • Hospital or medical related experience preferred.
  • Must communicate effectively (both written and verbally), be organized and self directed.

JOB SUMMARY

Provides secretarial support for the Nursing Unit. Assists the Nurse Manager or Resource Nurse in maintaining efficient function of the Unit. Promotes positive public relations through courteous interactions.

What you will do:

  • Performs secretarial duties for the Nursing Unit.
  • Answers patients call signals and obtains appropriate assistant.
  • Assists in orientation of new Unit Secretaries and Unit Assistants.
  • May be reassigned to another area to assist in the provision of secretarial support by Nurse Manager, Staffing Supervisor or Nursing Supervisor.
