What You'll Do:



  • Review daily process records.
  • Understand the process for putting products on hold and assist the plant and warehouse in the process when necessary.
  • Input Daily Product Grades after QA Record Review
  • Track USDA contracts for fulfillment and conduct activities for USDA requirements.
  • Work with the QA Manager to update the QSM Procedures and Documentation Registers as procedures are changed/issued by corporate QA and Plant QA Manager
  • Assist in conducting record reviews of customer complaints and maintaining a Customer Complaint Investigation Register
  • Collect required Supplier and Ingredient Documentation when updates are due. Maintain the register for suppliers and ingredients throughout the year.
  • Assist in various audits including QSM and SQF audits.
  • Perform periodic inspections of the Glass and Brittle Plastic within the facility.
  • Occasionally perform sanitation audits and assist in food safety audit walkthroughs.
  • Work with the warehouse to perform label line documentation reviews.
  • Must possess good sensory faculties and communication skills.
  • Must maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner to promote both accurate management of data collection/processing and a safe workplace environment.
  • Must adhere to all Lakeside Foods policies and procedures.
  • Must immediately notify the Quality Assurance Manager/Supervisor or other management or supervisory staff if any unsafe or potentially hazardous conditions are discovered.
  • May perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager/Supervisor


What You'll Bring:

Knowledge:



  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Six or more months of related experience and/or training desired but not necessary.


  • Have attended or be able to complete upon hire better process control school, HACCP training, and SQF training.


Language Skills:



  • Ability to read, write, speak English, and comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence.


Mathematical Skills:



  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.


  • Ability to compute ratios, and percentages.


  • Must be able to understand employ the concepts of minimum, average, and maximum for to enter data onto simple control charts.


Reasoning Ability:



  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
