Smithfield Foods, Inc. is looking for a highly motivated and experienced OT Cyber Security Engineer to support various programs and strategic initiatives within the company. As an OT Cyber Security Engineer, you will assess and maintain security systems for operational technology such as industrial controls, PLC's and other systems critical for plant manufacturing..

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

The below statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required of personnel so classified. May perform other duties as assigned.

  • Conducting cybersecurity risk assessments of ICS networks, systems and components

  • Developing and implementing cybersecurity policies, procedures and controls to mitigate identified risks

  • Ensuring compliance with industry cybersecurity standards and regulations such as NIST, ISA/IEC 62443, and IEC 61850

  • Designing and implementing security solutions to protect against cyber threats, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDPS), and security information and event management (SIEM) systems

  • Conducting penetration testing and vulnerability assessments of ICS systems to identify and remediate security weaknesses

  • Providing guidance and training to other engineers and operators on OT cybersecurity best practices

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate cybersecurity into the design, development, and deployment of new ICS systems and components

  • Participating in incident response activities to contain and mitigate cyber threats to OT systems

WHAT WE'RE SEEKING:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions.

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university and 5+ years of OT cybersecurity or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.

  • Experience in MS Azure cloud security and protection technologies.

  • Experience with endpoint protection solutions and advanced email threat protection.

  • Experience with Windows Active Directory security.

  • Endpoint remediation/ forensic investigation experience.

  • Experience with AWS and Microsoft Azure.

  • Experience with Web Application Firewall management.

  • Experience with analyzing log data through analytic tools.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment

  • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment
