This position reports to

Plant Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure efficient and cost-effective production results. Each day, you will be responsible to meet order demand, specifications, quality, and planning targets through the coordination and management of plant equipment, personnel, and production processes (quantity, quality, budgeted costs, and proper productivity level). You will also showcase your expertise by developing programs, projects, goals, and metrics to lead the organization to the highest level of operational performance while optimizing working capital throughout Operations.

You will be mainly accountable for:
*Preparing annual production budget, overseeing progress, and determining actions to cost issues as necessary to manage operations within the budget and resources.
*Developing and executing plans to reduce non-value-added costs, increase revenues, and de-light customers by delivering products on time with high factory and supplier yields and de-creasing product field failure rates.
*Ensuring that Four Quadrants (4Q) program training and methods are implemented in the organization and collaborates with Operational Excellence teams to integrate lean manufacturing principles into production processes.
*Ensures all staff (under scope) understand ABB's core values and group safety and integrity standards and act accordingly while implementing and ensuring compliance with the ABB code of conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies, and processes in their assigned area.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's Degree with minimum 10 years manufacturing experience OR Associate's Degree with minimum 12 years manufacturing experience.
  • Preferred Experience Includes: Budget & Performance Management - Strategy & Strategy Implementation - Data Anlaysis & Reporting - End-To-End Operations Management - Project Management - Quality Assurance & Excellence - Customer Satisfaction - Engineering & Manufacturing Processes - Logistics - Planned Maintenance & Backlog - Resource Management & Capacity Planning
  • SAP / Lean 6 Sigma Certifications / PMP / Workday / PPM / OPM / CNC Machining / 5S & 6S
  • Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
